Belgrade Theatre Starts the Season with Sensational Live Music Nights

The summer may be drawing to a close but the celebrations needn’t end there, with another fabulous live music line-up set to hit the Belgrade Theatre in September. This autumn, the Belgrade will be seeing in a brand new season with an eclectic mix of vintage swing, rock ‘n’ roll, toe-tapping hooley and 80s pop classics.

On Tuesday 1 September, Midlands rock ‘n’ roll icons Showaddywaddy return to the Belgrade with another dynamic and uplifting live show. Since forming in 1970s Leicester from several local bands, the group has gone on to tour all corners of the world, selling over 20 million records and reaching number one in pop charts across Europe. Join them as they look back on four decades’ worth of hits including Under the Moon of Love, Three Steps to Heaven, and Blue Moon.

Then on Tuesday 11 September, acclaimed singer Malcolm Pitt kicks off a week full of concerts with The Lionel Richie Songbook. Following recent appearances on The Graham Norton Show and Sunday Night at the Palladium, Pitt is set to have audiences “Dancing on the Ceiling” with a powerhouse performance, accompanied by the brilliant Jonny Miller Band. Expect awesome talent and world-class musicianship in this breathtaking tribute show, fully endorsed by Lionel Richie himself.

On Wednesday 12 September, the world’s favourite George Michael tribute show heads to Coventry, direct from London’s West End. Celebrating the career of a global superstar, Fast Love will take audiences on a journey from the heyday of Wham! through to the heights of his phenomenal solo career. Don’t miss your chance to relive old classics while creating new memories in this show-stopping musical extravaganza.

Prepare for a night of hand-clapping, foot-tapping hooley in the company of one of the biggest names in Irish music when Nathan Carter performs live in Coventry on Thursday 13 September. Fast gaining a reputation across the UK, this outstanding vocalist and expert accordion player showcases his passion for Irish music in this superbly entertaining show, supported by The Haley Sisters.

Finally, on Friday 14 September, audiences are invited to step back in time to the heyday of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr when the Rat Pack Live rolls into town. Featuring all the patter, panache and razzamatazz of the legendary trio’s infamous concerts, this “swingsational” smash hit show combines the full sound of big band swing with swagger, charisma and attitude to spare.
