Spectacular New Season of Theatre at The Rep
A Spectacular new season of theatre for spring and summer at the Rep, Birmingham.
Universal stories and shared experiences are explored across The REP’s three stages. The REP’s artistic Director, Roxana Silbert, said: “This season we focus on stories about bringing people together. From a whole country united through Bob Marley’s music in One Love to individuals united by their love of football in Stadium; a teacher and his pupils looking for acceptance in To Sir, With Love to a loving family whose unity rapidly unravels in What’s In A Name? In our new season we have five premières and three reimagined classics, exhilarating shows for families, imaginative and powerful new plays to explore, and one-night only specials – all the ingredients for audiences old and new, and a programme that we hope will spark conversations that continue long after the show has finished.”
Season highlights include:
The UK première of What’s In A Name?, a razor-sharp new comedy, starring Nigel Harman (EastEnders)and Sarah Hadland (Miranda)
Inspirational reggae music brought to the stage in the UK première of ONE LOVE: The Bob Marley Musical.
A major revival of Tommy, The Who’s iconic rock musical.
