We’ll take our tea with two sugars and a jam jar-full of gin, please! Okay, that may not taste great, but how does a gin-soaked afternoon tea sound instead? Who are we kidding, we had you at gin.
This autumn Harvey Nichols Birmingham is raising its teacups to everyone’s favourite tipple with a limited-edition Jam Jar Gin Afternoon Tea. Served in the store’s stylish restaurant, the themed treat has been created with the help of the famous gin company and will be available from Monday 4 September until Sunday 1 October.
Perfect for gin-thusiasts, the menu boasts all manner of tasty mini savouries including Jam Jar gin-cured salmon blini; salt beef with pickled cucumber, lime and coriander dressing; goat’s cheese croute with rhubarb, damson and ginger compote; and a cucumber, mint and gin mascarpone sandwich. Sweets treats include rhubarb and blackberry cheesecake; rosemary panna cotta; Jam Jar gin lemon drizzle cake; and raspberry and pistachio nougat.
The limited edition Jam Jar Gin Afternoon Tea is priced at £22, or £30 with a specially created Chin Chin cocktail, and will be served daily from 3.30pm-5.30pm.
