Brum Radio Comedy Show All Dayer

Brum Radio Comedy Show All Dayer no. 1

Cherry Reds, John Bright Street, 4th June 12pm – 7pm

A whole day of the best comedy Birmingham has to offer from the presenters of the BrumRadio comedy show.  There are compilation shows, new material, Edinburgh Festival 2017 previews, and a gameshow set in Hell. All shows are ‘pay what you want’, come for one, come for all of them, or pop in and out during the day.
12 noon –Danny Clives and Stu Woodings – WIP.  Join Dudley’s Danny Clives – who’s appearing on the highly prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve at Edinburgh 2017 – and Stu Woodings – The Hot Water New Comedian 2015 – as they split an hour to show us their work so far for this year’s festival.
1pm – Jo D’Arcy – Darcehole.  Teaching survivor Jo once tweaked a kid’s nipples to get them to behave.  It worked!  In her debut show Jo D’Arcy teaches you what really happens in class when your teacher is a complete and utter D’Archole.  Prepare to be power-pointed*.  “Funny bones and a clownish sensibility” Bruce Dessau, “Formidable, affable and silly” Steve Bennett, Chortle. *nipple tweaking optional.

2pm – Lovdev Barpaga – Silly Sausage.  Brummie Lovdev Barpaga is returning to Edinburgh as the reigning UK pun champion with his stupidly hilarious new show, Silly Sausage.  It’s full of crazy puns, old fashioned jokes, and promises a belly full of laughter. “The 21st Century Asian Ken Goodwin” Steve Bennett, “A feel good comedian in the finest tradition” Chortle, “One of the most brilliant comics you’ll ever see” Joe Lycett.
3pm – Thomas Rackham and Lucy Thompson – Sketch comedy.  An hour’s show from award winning comedians Lucy Thompson (Best Show Nominee – Leicester Comedy Festival 2017) and Thomas Rackham (Best Midlands Comedian Nominee – What’s on Readers Awards 2017).  “Comedians to see in 2017” Birmingham Mail, “Funny Bones” Chortle.
4pm – Paul Savage – Paul Savage is set to Self Destruct.  Wolverhampton’s Paul Savage gets himself into a good situation, then blows it all up.  So, what is this self-destructive tendency and can he stop it (with jokes)? “An engaging and affable labour of love from a man determined to find comedy in the unlikeliest of places” Broadway Baby “Genuinely Brilliant, an all-round hoot” The Guardian.
5pm – Gareth Berliner – WIP.  Comedian Gareth Berliner (Coronation Street’s Macca) is the Essex man who lives in Birmingham and plays a Manc on the TV.  He brings new work in progress and laughs for 50 minutes of fun.  We’re told he’ll prove he’s not as nasty as the characters he plays… although apparently his face may say different.
6pm – Hell to Play.  Hell to Play is the gameshow set in Hell and hosted by the devil.  Join him as he makes two guest comedians compete for their immortal souls in a bad taste show so funny Jim Davidson walked out in disgust (this genuinely happened). 4*s, The Stage & Exunt Magazine, Runner up, Best Live Show Midlands Comedy Awards 2016.
