Celebrate Valentine’s Day At Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is offering the perfect setting for lovebirds to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special after-hours dinner.

Within the walls of the museum, on Friday 14 February, couples can enjoy a romantic four-course meal in the spectacular surroundings of the Industrial Gallery, with its impressive Victorian architecture and ornate steel work and glass ceiling.

This is a unique opportunity to visit the museum in the evening and enjoy a bespoke menu cooked by Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery’s expert chef team.

A choice of dishes includes Sicilian arancini with arrabbiata sauce, prawn cocktail, pork belly bites or baked camembert to share, as a starter. For the main there is a choice of rump of lamb, loin of cod, cauliflower steak, roast chicken, or Chateaubriand to share. The dessert selection will tempt diners for more, with a sharing board of regional cheeses, savoury biscuits and chutneys, or for those with a sweeter tooth there’s the choice of sticky toffee pudding, trio of cheesecakes or pavlova.

To make the experience even more special, local guitarist and singer-songwriter Robert Lane will be serenading diners with live music throughout the evening.

Alex Nicholson-Evans, Commercial Director at Birmingham Museums, said: “With beautiful music and equally stunning food in an inspiring historical setting, this event is the perfect way to impress your loved one. It’s a Valentine’s Day they won’t forget, and you’ll be supporting Birmingham Museums at the same time, with profits helping us to care for the city’s amazing collection and historic buildings. This event is always popular, so book soon to avoid disappointment.”
