French pâtisserie opens in Selfridges Birmingham

Award-winning French-style pâtisserie Bisous Bisous has launched in Selfridges Birmingham, bringing its traditional and authentic sweet treats to the city for the first time.

Opening exclusively at the department store’s renowned Food Hall, the pâtisserie, whose name means “Kisses Kisses”, is famed for its delicate French gateaux and fresh tarts and was lauded by chef Jamie Oliver for their macarons, which he said were the best he’d ever tasted.

Lovers of millefeuilles, religieuses, flans and éclairs can now indulge in delicate, handmade treats created by Bisous Bisous’s Manchester-based founders Alex Moreau and Kirsty McAlpine, who won the Observer FoodMonthly food producer award 2017.

Selfridges Birmingham General Manager Sam Watts said: “Bisous Bisous is a fantastic addition to our already vibrant Food Hall, bringing authentic French pastries and viennoiserie to our customers. We’re very excited to be the exclusive stockist in the city – where else can you find such a magnificent array of innovative foods?”

Prices start from £3.99.
