Montblanc was founded on a love for writing and a belief in its power to change the world. That’s why the luxury pen makers have partnered with UNICEF with the aim of achieving one common goal: to sustain primary education and literacy programs for children all over the world.
With over Ten Million USD donated by Montblanc, the next phase of the brands support is the The Montblanc for UNICEF Collection. Inspired by the Rosetta stone with its multilingual inscription, the comprehensive collection symbolizes a worldwide bond with six very special written characters
incorporated into the design.
The handwritten characters featured are the first letters children learn to write at school in six different world languages; Latin, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Hindi scripts. All this is brought together in a seamless design to emphasize how precious the gift of writing is.
As you would expect from Montblanc, each writing instrument is made to measurefrom materials such as precious resin, sterling silver or ebonite. Gold, platinum, ruthenium or rhodium coatings give each writing instrument a distinctive character, and each piece is accentuated with a UNICEF blue
sapphire.
Each item sold between April 1, 2017 and March 31, 2018 will help to provide more children access to primary education of a better quality.
