The much-anticipated Gucci boutique opens on Level 4 of Selfridges Birmingham, today (Wednesday, August 1), bringing a new level of luxury to the premium city department store.
Lovers of the Italian designer brand will be able to snap up its latest collections of shoes, accessories and fashion as it joins the classic brands of Burberry, Christian Louboutin, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, and Jimmy Choo on the top floor.
Sam Watts, Selfridges Birmingham general manager, said: “There’s no better luxury destination in the city than Selfridges Birmingham and we’re excited to add Gucci to the roll-call of deluxe collections to Level 4. We know our customers appreciate being able to source the very best brands in one place, which is why we are constantly working to make shopping here an exciting and dynamic experience.”
The Christian Louboutin and Burberry boutiques opened just a couple of weeks ago on Level 4, while Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Jimmy Choo, plus Shoes Galleries, which is the store’s largest shoe department outside London with more than 1,700 styles from nearly 50 designers, opened earlier this year, taking the exclusive premium brands to more than 200. And, of course, Level 4 is also home to Fumo restaurant, the leading Champagne bar and restaurant.
The transformation of the city’s luxury destination will be complete at the end of summer, when the department store unveils its newly refurbished personal shopping suite.
