Harvey Nichols Launches Its Own Slice Of Heaven
Boasting an impressive client list that includes leading A-listers and royalty, Heaven by Deborah Mitchell has long been recognised as the region’s leading skincare brand. With a range of high-tech salon treatments alongside innovative anti-ageing products, famous fans include Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow and Simon Cowell.
Now Birmingham beauty lovers will get the chance to experience these much-loved celebrity treatments as Heaven by Deborah Mitchell launches exclusively at Harvey Nichols this week. Opening at the Mailbox store on Saturday (December 1), the new salon will offer a host of results-driven therapies as well as Deborah’s iconic bee venom products.
As one of the country’s most in-demand facialists, Deborah created her own organic, natural skincare range more than 25 years ago. Driven by her personal struggle with acne as a teenager she began developing in her own kitchen, working on different formulas and testing them on herself until she got it right. “I got the inspiration to start my own range when I was studying beauty therapy. I didn’t like the way the products we used affected the skin.” She explains. “We would always leave feeling oily and the skin would be red and irritated. I had acne when I was younger so I started mixing and blending essential oils into various creams and using them on myself and clients. The reaction and results were fantastic and I built the range from there.”
The multi award-winning businesswoman has seen Heaven go from strength to strength globally over the past decade with salons and spas now located in Hong Kong, South Africa, Australia, Dubai and America. But despite her success she remains firmly committed to being close to her Midlands home and her flagship spa in Shifnal. She will also be taking regular appointments at her new Harvey Nichols salon, working closely with her hand-picked team. “As a big fan of the Birmingham store I couldn’t be more excited to be launching right in the heart of the city. Our new salon is an oasis of calm where clients can sit and relax after a treatment and look over the store’s bustle down below and totally unwind. Before enjoying some retail therapy of course.”
Deborah’s extensive range of products for face, body and hair include cleansers, toners, moisturisers, and face and body oils. Suitable for all skin types, they are packed with the best ingredients nature and technology has to offer. “I have designed the products to not only leave clients with a radiant, flawless complexion but also to work as healers, helping with a whole range of skin conditions from blemishes to eczema.”
At the very forefront of Deborah’s skincare is her famous bee venom ABEETOXIN®, an ultra-anti-aging formula that works to strengthen collagen, tissue and elastin. The new Harvey Nichols salon will offer her 60-minute Bee Sting Facial as well as the 90 minute Bee Slim Ritual. Other treatments include Lia Therapy, the first non-surgical spiritual facial to improve skin and well-being; a range of LED and laser procedures, and a full massage menu with prices start from £16.
