This March, the boutique hotel bid a warm ‘bienvenue’ to Barry Sherwin who has taken over the reins one of the best hotels in Birmingham.
Barry, who has 25 years of management experience in the hospitality industry, has stepped into the big shoes of Tony Elvin who left to become General Manager of Touchwood Solihull.
Barry, who most recently ran operations for restaurant brand Gusto, has a broad array of skills and experiences, from multi-site operations manager to Managing Director.
Barry said, “I am looking forward to taking the baton from my good friend Tony Elvin, who has done a fantastic job over the last five and a half years. I’ll bring my experience of fast, quality Guest Service from Gusto and further enhance the great experience at Hotel du Vin. It’s always been my favourite bar and restaurant in town, now I’m looking to speed up the service to those who want it, so whether you’ve got 55 minutes to get back to the office or to the theatre, or a couple of hours to relax, we’ll have you covered”.
