Masterchef presenter to host fundraising dinner for Birmingham charity

Masterchef presenter, Gregg Wallace, is to preside over an exclusive dinner for Children’s Liver Disease Foundation at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in Knightsbridge.

Gregg will join Simon Young, the hotel’s executive chef, to host the Chefs’ Gala Dinner which takes place on Monday March 18 2019. The flagship fundraising event for the Birmingham based national charity will see over 200 guests treated to courses prepared by Michelin starred chefs, Simon Hulstone, Shay Cooper, John Campbell and award-winning pastry chef Claire Clark MBE.

Guests will then be invited to bid for ‘money can’t buy’ lots in the auction, directed by Charles Hanson of BBC’s Bargain Hunt.

“The Gala Dinner is a prestigious biennial event which over the years has raised over £1,000,000 to help us fight liver disease in children” says CLDF Chief Executive, Alison Taylor. This is the first time we shall be at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower and we are particularly excited about our line-up of hosts and chefs.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for Birmingham business to be associated with a unique exclusive event and support a local charity which is making a real difference to families and young people around the UK. We have a number of sponsorship packages available and are also now taking table reservations for what will be a wonderful corporate hospitality experience.
