Selfridges Birmingham opens the ultimate destination for shoes outside London
Selfridges Birmingham is promising to put its best foot forward with the opening of the ultimate destination for women’s shoes since the opening in 2010 of the store’s famous Shoe Galleries in London. The new destination in Selfridges Birmingham is also the store’s largest shoe department outside London.
With more than 1,700 styles of the most sought after footwear from nearly 50 designers including Balenciaga, Valentino and Stella McCartney across over 15,000 sqft of floor space, this is an extraordinary destination for shoe shopping.
Not only will the new destination, which opens on level 4 on March 19, stock Selfridges’ much-loved and established brands, it will also introduce exciting new ranges, including Malone Souliers, Marco de Vincenzo, Alberta Ferretti, Gina, Coach, Mallet and Magda Butrym.
In addition, Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and Gucci will have their own shoe destinations within the space, when they open later this spring. Brides-to-be will be able to select shoes for their special day with the Jenny Packham x LK Bennett bridal collection, which is exclusive to Selfridges Birmingham in the city. Also on offer will be a large selection of styles from Offspring.
To celebrate the opening of the new in-store destination, Selfridges Birmingham will be hosting an exciting special event weekend on level 4. The hugely entertaining London-based Sink the Pink drag collective will be performing on Saturday, March 31 between 4pm and 8pm, while the Psychic Sisters will be doing their renowned readings on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31, between noon and 6pm. Shoppers will also have the opportunity to have their trainers and shoeboxes personalised and illustrated during the event weekend.
