Shoppers take a paws this Valentine’s Day at Bullring and Grand Central.

What a PAWESOME experience! This Valentine’s Day, shoppers were treated to cuddles from Pets in Hospital comfort dogs at Bullring and Grand Central.

The shopping centre has teamed up with the local charity to bring specially trained comfort dogs to lift the spirits of city singletons and warm the hearts of even the most lovelorn shoppers.

For a small donation, the pooches, who are trained to offer comfort and affection, have been providing plenty of cuddles in Bullring & Grand Central’s exclusive Puppy Love Pen, situated outside Nando’s in Grand Central on Valentine’s Day.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) Charity works to provide ‘added extras’ for staff and patients at the hospital. The Charity’s Pets in Hospital scheme launched at QEHB in 2018 and sees specially-assessed dogs visit patients, alongside their owners, to bring smiles to the hospital.

Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising for QEHB Charity, said: “The Pets in Hospital dogs bring joy to patients and staff alike when they come to the hospital and I know that they will steal the hearts of all of the shoppers at the Bullring on Valentine’s Day. I would encourage anyone to take a break and come and meet our dogs and learn more about the Pets in Hospitals project.”

Stephanie Lacey, General Manager at Bullring & Grand Central said: “We could all do with a little Puppy Love in our lives and what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than by spending some time with these super cute dogs.

“We’re proud to be supporting Pets in Hospitals and to help them continue the amazing work that they do in our local area, while offering our shoppers a Valentine’s Day experience they’ll never forget.”
