Connect in Style at Kuku Connect

In our last issue we celebrated three years of KuKu connecting businesses in the region, ahead of their Annual Birthday Reception; well we knew the KuKu boys wouldn’t disappoint, but they surpassed our expectations and threw one of the best business parties of the year!

Diamonds and rare gemstones,Burleighs Gin, fantastic fascinators and millinery, handcrafted tailoring, game croutes from the Butler’s Pantry, Everards beer, cocktails from Bawdon Lodge Farm, a West-End singing star, award winning cuisine from Chutney Ivy, dignitaries, influencers, business leaders, a Lewis Carroll ‘Queen of Hearts’, a Tree House Cakes birthday cake and even representative of Her Majesty The Queen were just some of the highlights of KuKu’s annual birthday bash which celebrates businesses in the East Midlands business community and raises funds for locally based charities.

Over 400 businesses attended the birthday reception at the stunning Stoke Rochford Hall. “The Annual Birthday Reception is about celebrating the contribution of the region’s innovative and hard-working businesses, so think annual dinner, but just without being sat down at tables, we do this so business people come and celebrate, but as always make great new business connections but from across the region.” Said KuKu co-founder Stephen Goddard.

“We are so passionate about connecting, supporting and celebrating businesses, so this pinnacle event each year is so important to all of us at KuKu Connect and its great that so many businesses were showcased as part of our celebrations. Of course there are many businesses out there who might have been put off by networking, so if there are businesses who would like to come and see what KuKu Connect is all about, then come as our free guest.’ offers co-founder Philip Brooks-Stephenson.
