Birmingham-based young entrepreneur Sophie Highfield, founder of Café Blend – a licensed coffee bar; has recently opened the doors of its second venue in the city centre of Manchester in The Triangle in December 2011.
Café Blend began trading in June 2010 in Birmingham city centre – it has proven to be a very successful new concept of ‘coffee bar’ introducing a new wave of coffee culture to the city with the intention to be nationwide, and Manchester has been cited to be the perfect location to spread coffee cocktails, coffee martinis and various other recipes inspired from travels around the world. It also has free Wifi, live music and comedy events.
With over 150 drinks Café Blend has an extensive range of flavours for the intrepid coffee and tea adventurer to explore. The menu can be found on their website www.cafeblend.co.uk.
Sophie Highfield, former manager for All Bar One, has ten years in the hospitality business and says, ‘It is all about the customer experience. We pride ourselves on our unique style of service and relaxing atmosphere; we like our stores to be known as an “oasis” in the city where one can relax, have a treat, enjoy time with friends and loved ones. Life is to be enjoyed and all too often we can forget that. Each drink reminds me of somewhere I had been, somewhere I have loved (or disliked), the people I met along the way, the books I read too and it will always be a time that I treasure.’
Café Blend is a place to discover a world of a flavour and to be enjoyed by all in a friendly environment. There is a blend for everyone at this coffee bar from Flat Whites and Cubanos to Turtle Mochas and Irish Coffee Martinis and it also sells beers and wines.
