Coming soon to Leicestershire and ITV1, The Choir That Rocks is a brand new 3-part documentary that tells the stories of individuals from all over the country who are united by their love of music and performance. Established in 2005, Rock Choir is the largest contemporary choir in the UK and offers the general public an opportunity to sing pop, gospel, Motown and chart songs, without the need for previous singing experience.
Many of the members have never sung in public before and are given the opportunity to perform, as part of the Rock Choir experience. Rock Choir offers members the opportunity to perform at local venues and events including shopping centres, store openings, theatres, football stadiums and music festivals raising money for charity.
Rock Choir has been described by the Daily Telegraph as a ‘Nationwide Phenomenon’ and the Daily Express as a “New musical movement sweeping the country” and is supported by the media and organisations across the UK for the feel good and uplifting ethos and life changing experiences that it offers.
In this new three part ITV series, the uplifting story of Rock Choir will be told by people all over Britain who come together to sing. Full of Brits with true grit and heart-warming stories, Rock Choir and its many characters is a story about real people and real lives.
To celebrate, Rock Choir is offering special FREE ITV singing taster sessions including songs from the TV show. Fun and relaxed with no pressure on anyone wanting to come along and take part. You can book your place and take part on the following dates in:
Leicester – Sunday, 3rd July at 3.00pm at Leicester Oadby Methodist Church, Harborough Road, Oadby, Leicester.
Loughborough – Saturday, 25th June at 3.00pm at Main Hall, OLCS (Our Lady’s Convent School) Gray Street, Loughborough.
