Gaucho To Open Birmingham Restaurant This Spring

The most anticipated restaurant opening in Birmingham this year, Gaucho, has officially announced its arrival to the city’s Colmore District, opening its doors on Monday 8th May, 2017.

Marking the first UK opening of Gaucho for seven years, this announcement is significant for both the brand and the city, with 55 Colmore Row being the hand-picked home for the restaurant which brings the true taste of Argentina to Birmingham.

Situated in the heart of Birmingham’s business district, the 120-cover restaurant will become the city’s premier destination for business lunches, stylish evening dining, private dining facilities and events.

From its opening day, Gaucho will introduce all aspects of its brand to Birmingham, including its famous Electro Brunch menu, wine tasting and beef masterclasses.

The décor will be sophisticated and contemporary yet warm and welcoming, having taken inspiration from rural Argentina and its giant Ombu trees.

Quality beef is undeniably the focus of the menu, and is what has developed Gaucho’s impeccable reputation over the last two decades. Separating itself from steakhouses across the country, all beef served comes directly from 45 specially chosen farms in Argentina, where care for the cattle is paramount.

Whilst famous for its steaks, Gaucho will also offer a tempting selection of seafood and fish dishes, prime home-made sausages, and a range of lamb and poultry, all refreshed seasonally.

Alongside the renowned food, Gaucho’s wine list will give diners a choice of over 200 Argentinian wines, with many exclusive to Gaucho, and two brands produced in Gaucho’s very own vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina.

Matt Ford, marketing director at Gaucho, said: “This is our first opening in the UK for seven years, and in that time we’ve visited countless sites up and down the country, watched the growth of various cities, and finally decided that Colmore Row, at this time, is the perfect home for Gaucho.

“The food scene in Birmingham is booming and we’re very excited to be a part of it.

“Our London restaurants are recognised not just for the quality of food, but the highest standard of service, and this will certainly be the case for Birmingham. All Gaucho staff have passed service and product knowledge exams, and operate with the philosophy of ‘one guest at a time’, ensuring every visit is an experience.”
