Star Trust Celebrate at Annual Ball
The East Midlands-based trust, Star Trust, celebrated raising £129,000 at its annual ball, a record-breaking amount for the charity, to be distributed to local good causes across the region.
In only its fourth year and entirely run by volunteers, the Star Trust raises funds for small charities across the East Midlands, and the huge amount raised at this year’s ball held at Stapleford Park in association with Graypaul Maserati, takes the Trust’s overall donations to over £340,000.
Star Trust co-founder Steve Hampson said: “Our annual ball is always a huge success, and to have surpassed last year’s already incredible total by over £33,000 is an outstanding achievement. I am so proud of the Star Trust team and their tireless efforts to bring this event together.
“We have enjoyed exceptional support from our guests and sponsors to enable us to really make a difference to those in need across the region – and as the Trust is entirely run by volunteers, every penny raised goes straight to good causes. Star Trust is committed to supporting small charities who often can struggle to raise the funds they so badly need, and we are proud to be able to help these very worthy causes carry out the vital work they deliver in our communities. We would urge any small, East Midlands-based charity that is seeking funds for a specific project to get in touch so that we can lend our support.”
Patron, Torie Blythe Richards commented; “I have been delighted over the last year not only to support The Star Trust as my chosen charity for The Partnership Lifestyle Club but also very humbled to give my time, ideas and contribution as a committee member. Not only do we help and support amazing charities in the East Midlands, we feel as a business it’s important to put something back into the community.
