Harringworth Village Announce Their Flower Festival In June

Harringworth Village in the Welland Valley is delighted to announce their FLOWER FESTIVAL in the magnificent setting of St John The Baptist Church on Saturday and Sunday, 9th and 10th of June 2018 with the theme “THE COLOUR OF SONG”.

Plus, there is a FESTIVAL CONCERT on the Saturday evening with the COTTESMORE MILITARY WIVES CHOIR.

Doors will be open for the Flower Festival from 11.00 – 16.30 each day.  Entry is free and a programme will be on sale with particulars of each of more than 20  ‘Colour of Song’ flower displays.  Songs chosen for the arrangements include ‘Lily the Pink’, ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’, ‘Whiter Shade of Pale’ and many more.

During the Festival weekend there will be a programme of musical performances in the Church and details of these will be published on Harringworth Village Website nearer the date.  Refreshments will be served throughout the weekend with Ploughman’s Lunch, Afternoon Teas, wine, soft drinks, teas & coffees available in the Church.

Saturday evening will feature a Festival Concert in the Church by the Cottesmore Military Wives Choir.  Tickets for the Concert will be sold in advance and will cost just £10 each.  They are available from www.harringworthvillage.org or email: [email protected]

To close the Flower Festival there will be a special Songs of Praise at 17.00 on Sunday, with everyone welcome to attend.

The Flower Festival is being organised by the village of Harringworth with proceeds in aid of the Harringworth Appeals Fund and is followed on Saturday 23rd June by the traditional and ever popular Summer Fete.
