Celebrate Valentine’s Day With The Royal Shakespeare Company’s Rooftop Restaurant

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) will offer a special Valentine’s menu in the Rooftop Restaurant, which overlooks the River Avon, from 14-16 February.

The specially created Valentine’s Day meal is a sumptuous three-course feast, featuring locally sourced ingredients, and has vegan options.

Starters include twice-baked goat’s cheese soufflé with roasted heritage beetroot and candied walnuts, pressed Persian-style chicken with spiced apricot relish and coriander flatbread, and classic Coquille St. Jacques gratin. Main courses include fillet of Herefordshire beef with wilted spinach and wild mushrooms and truffle sauce, roasted stone bass with samphire, cocotte potatoes and saffron and mussel velouté, and ricotta and basil raviolini with slow-roasted peppers and tomato and mascarpone sauce. Desserts diners can choose from include a trio featuring red velvet cake, a dark chocolate and raspberry cup and poached rhubarb with raspberry sorbet; a ‘strawberries and cream’ coupe; and a selection of British farmhouse artisan cheeses.

The full menu can be viewed at the RSC’s website: https://www.rsc.org.uk/rooftop-restaurant/special-occasions/valentines.
The three-course meal is £39.50 per person, including a glass of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne. Bookings can be made through the website, or call on 01789 403449 for further information.
