Harvey Nichols Birmingham invites diners to enjoy the finest Italian wines at an exclusive evening next month. The luxury Mailbox store will host the specially-themed dinner on Thursday April 26 to showcase its impressive range of wines and fizz from across Italy.
Guests will enjoy canapés on arrival before sitting dow to a five-course meal created by Head Chef Stewart Mackie with a range of specially matched wines curated by Anna Schena, Italian Wine Buyer for Harvey Nichols.
Hailing from Verona, Anna explains: “Despite Verona being home to some of the best Italian wines, my passion started relatively late. During my school years wine was nothing more than a side dish.
“It was only when I moved to London that I realised it was more than just an accompaniment to dinner so I decided it was time to learn more. And the more I learned the more I realised there was to know. I allowed myself a ‘third-of-a-life’ crisis, I left my job as in investment banking and enrolled in the Wine Diploma at Le Cordon Bleu in London.”
Throughout the evening Anna will share her knowledge and will be joined by the store’s Wine Expert Siofra O’Brien to talk about the hand-picked selection and how they compliment the flavours of the menu.
