A Pub Fit For A King

The team at Leicester’s Beautiful Pubs Collective have added another fantastic venue to their portfolio with the revival of the King Richard III pub on Highcross Street.

At the front of the venue is a cosy bar with plenty of character, including a feature wall dedicated to the pub’s namesake. There’s a variety of drinks on offer, from cask ales and coffee to wine and gin. If you’re feeling peckish, handmade bar snacks are also available, including mini pies and scotch eggs.

Those looking for something a little more substantial won’t be disappointed, as at the rear of the venue is a chophouse which specialises in locally sourced meat on the bone, cooked on a robata coal grill.

Customers can choose from Sirloin of Beef with Peppercorn Sauce; Barnsley Lamb Chop served with Salsa Verde, or Double Thick Pork Cutlet with Pickled Fennel. A variety of sides are also on offer including Beef Dripping Fries, Macaroni Cheese, Stir Fried Broccoli with Chilli & Garlic and Heirloom Tomato Salad.

A beautiful outdoor area has been created, with walls of greenery and plenty of seating providing the perfect setting for drinks in the sunshine over the summer months.

An enclosed area, which can be used throughout the year, is also set to be added in the coming weeks.

Whether you’re meeting friends for an after work drink, popping in for a quick lunch when out shopping at the weekend, or looking for somewhere special to go for a date night – step away from the hustle and bustle of the city and pay the King Richard III a visit. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
