An Indian Summer at Easy Saturday at LCB Depot

An Indian Summer at Easy Saturday at LCB Depot

Easy Saturday is a creative family day from LCB Depot, on the 2nd Saturday of every month, for toddlers to 10 year olds (and their grown ups) to access a wide range of creative activities from growing to cooking, sculpting, painting, making music, dancing, building words in Minecraft, and more

An Indian Summer in Association Sony TV is both a celebration of and an introduction to a nation, a culture and its people. It’s an experience to engage through sound and visual installations, live acts and performances, presentations, workshops, talks, films, culinary experiences and most importantly, presence! This year, the Festival will be taking place from 25th July – 25th August 2018.

We’ll be joining forces on August 11th, during An Indian Summer’s 400 Years exhibition in our Lightbox gallery, to bring the sounds, tastes and colours of India to the Cultural Quarter in a family-friendly environment. There will be Tabla, Brass and Percussion Music Workshops from House of Verse, Make your own Bombay-Inspired Pani Puri Snack with Grays (LCB Depot’s amazing in-house cafe, also open for the event with their special kids menu), and  Holi Inspired Paint Party – prepare to get painty!

Easy Saturday regulars will be there too with Bambino Disco, Urban Farm, Minecraft (sponsored by Launchpadd) and Cattywampus free play.

Entry and most of the activities are free and drop-in from 12-4pm on Saturday August 11th at LCB Depot, 31 Rutland Street, Leicester LE1 1RE.
