Furniture fittings and architectural hardware specialists Häfele has announced the launch of a three-year partnership with the Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby Team.
The partnership, which begins at the start of the new rugby season this September, will see Häfele become the wheelchair rugby team’s main partners. With a wide range of accessible living products, Häfele were delighted to take up the lead sponsorship opportunity.
Through the expertise the company has in this area, they understand the positive effect of having fit-for-purpose furniture can have on the lives of those who need support from additional functionality.

Since being established in 2014, the Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby Team has grown into one of the sport’s most competitive teams. The team were crowned champions of the BT Super Series Division One for the first time in the club’s history last season with four Tigers players – Nick Cummins, Gavin Walker, Muhammad Islam and Jamie Stead – and also featuring in this summer’s World Championships tournament in Sydney, Australia.
Häfele’s partnership with Leicester Tigers has seen the branding of the control tower, known as ‘The Cube’, at Tigers’ 25,849 capacity home ground at Welford Road. As part of this partnership, Häfele will also have use of a matchday hospitality box, which has been refurbished to become one-of-a-kind. The matchday box has been specially designed using Häfele products to showcase how versatile a space can be; one of the company’s key specialisms.
Not only that, but with Häfele’s Head Office based in Rugby – the hometown of the sport – it is a natural allegiance for both parties.
