A “Learn to sing Gospel” workshop takes place this August in Clarendon Park. Professional singer, and head of Leicester’s CC Gospel Choir Lizzy Rushby will be leading the workshop, which is being sponsored by the Clarendon Park Congregational Church.
Lizzy tell us “After the successful launch of the CC Gospel Choir this year I wanted to offer a series of Saturday workshops that enable people to have a go at singing Gospel music in one self-contained session. Gospel music spans a wider variety of styles and is a lot of fun to sing.”
John Bentham, minister at the Clarendon Park Congregational Church explains “The summer is a great time to try something new so we’re delighted to offer individuals and families a singing experience that’s a little different. You don’t have any singing experience to join in the fun, it’s very beginner friendly”
The workshop is being offered on a pay-what-you-want basis and is for ages 10 to adult. The event takes place on Saturday the 4th of August 10:30am until 12noon at the Clarendon Park Congregational Church. Contact [email protected] for more details or you can turn up on the day.
