Who can apply:

Anyone can apply to run an event as part of the programme. The theme can be about anything, so long as the event stands to benefit the businesses and people in the region by creating a forum where others can listen, learn, share, engage, network, question or debate.

Another aim of the business Festival is to drive interest in Leicester and Leicestershire from an investment, or business development perspective, and events that help to positively place this region in a national spotlight are also welcome. This could include economic, sectoral or investment showcases or events that debate or address national business challenges, for example.

Scott Charlish, head of East Midlands financial planning at wealth management firm, Brewin Dolphin, said: “I recommend businesses use the summer period, which for many is a quieter time of year, to finalise their event plans and get their applications in.”

He continued: “There are already quite a few headline events in the programme, by submitting applications sooner rather than later, businesses stand a better chance of securing their preferred choice of date and time, as all applications are treated on a first come, first served basis.”

How to apply:

Applications must be submitted via the website www.leicesterbusinessfestival.com by Wednesday 4 September.
