Leicestershire gift shop raises money for Hope Against Cancer

A Leicestershire gift shop has raised an impressive £2778.65 for Hope Against Cancer following its exclusive Christmas Preview event.

Narborough Hall used its recent Christmas room launch event to raise money for the organisation, which it has chosen as its Charity of the Year, by selling raffle tickets and donating a share of the profits directly to the charity. The Christmas Preview event provides shoppers with an exclusive look at the festive collection from Narborough Hall, which includes this year’s must-have decorations and gifts.

Hope Against Cancer is Leicestershire local cancer research charity who celebrate their 15th Birthday this year. Since 2003 they have raised over 5 million towards vital research into life saving cancer treatments. Nigel Rose, CEO of Hope Against Cancer, comments: “Hope was delighted to be a part of such a fantastic event and we value the continued support from Narborough Hall. We are incredibly pleased to have been chosen as the Charity of the Year for the third year running by such a high profile local business, it demonstrates how partnering with local businesses is a win-win situation for charities and businesses alike, in the three years they have raised in excess of £11000”

Sophie Edwards, who co-owns Narborough Hall with husband Simon, comments: “We would like to thank everyone who visited Narborough Hall during our Christmas Preview week, bought a raffle ticket or a festive item and helped us to reach this total. ”
