Rutland-based business sponsors GBR athlete at European Championships

Rutland-based artificial grass installer, LazyLawn®, has gone the extra mile and sponsored keen athlete Paul May at the Aquabike European Championships 2018.

Training for over two years, Paul, aged 39 from Hull, was awarded one of the 15 places in team GB for his age group to travel to Ibiza for the European Championships. The event started with a 2km swim through the Mediterranean Sea, followed by a 90km cycle race at the end of October.

The artificial grass company based in Market Overton generously sponsored Paul’s high-tech trisuit, as well as a training shirt and polo shirt, all featuring the LazyLawn® logo.

With licensees throughout the country, LazyLawn® has a UK wide professional Which? Trusted Trader approved installer network and has pioneered the development of artificial grass creating natural-looking garden makeovers.

Known for its Which? Best Buy award winning product Wonder Yarn®, LazyLawn® offers not only artificial grass, but a comprehensive range of products including LazyResin™ and LazyBorders™.

Paul said: “I am so grateful for LazyLawn®’s sponsorship. LazyLawn® providing training clothes and my trisuit gave me one less thing to worry about, meaning I could focus fully on my training.

After his success at the European Championships, the athletic father of two has now qualified to represent Great Britain at the 2019 World Championships in Spain.

David Lowe Regional Licensee Manager at LazyLawn® said: “We are pleased to be supporting Paul.

“Paul worked so hard to get to this point. We are so proud of his success at the event and wish him well at the 2019 World Championships.”
