Sn-ap brings on-demand intercity coach travel to Leicester

Sn-ap, an on-demand coach provider, is launching in Leicester this month, giving residents luxury travel to London for pocket money prices from Thursday 12th May.

To mark its arrival, Sn-ap will be holding a launch event in Leicester’s Highcross Shopping Centre on Tuesday 8th May from 11am – 7.30pm.

Leicester residents are invited to pop down to St. Peter’s Square to see one of Sn-ap’s luxury coaches and enjoy a slice of cake and zingy lemonade in a special picnic area. Sn-ap will also be handing out free trial return trips from Leicester to London to all new customers on the day.

New customers can also apply for their free trial journey via Sn-ap’s website

Sn-ap connects intercity travellers with high quality independent coach operators. Premium coaches which are usually reserved for elite sports teams, executive travel and luxury tours are available at affordable prices through Sn-ap.

Thomas Ableman, founder of Sn-ap, has spent the last 14 years working within the transport sector and set up Sn-ap in 2016 after spotting a widening gap in the market. He explains: “Problem number one with public transport is a severe lack of choice, which leads to high fares, inflexible timetables and poor service. I could see rising demand, yet intercity travel is exactly like it was 30 years ago – high prices, cramped and outdated vehicles and complex booking systems.

“Coach is the ideal intercity travel solution – it’s environmentally sound and cost-effective to run. We can pick-up and drop-off at a variety of flexible locations, rather than taking you to a fixed terminus you don’t need to go to and by using our app you can manage the whole experience quickly and easily on your mobile.

“Sn-ap’s concept is anywhere to anywhere, anytime, and is operated on an on-demand basis, meaning trips only run when there is enough demand, keeping prices low. Sn-ap uses machine learning to predict the dates, times and routes that people wish to travel and to set the optimal price.”

Sn-ap uses customer star ratings to select the very best coaches and drivers from top-quality independent coach operators.

Thomas continues, “The feedback we have received from our 65,000 customers has been great so far.  Nine out of ten people have reviewed our service 5 stars which we are very proud of.”

Sn-ap has already launched successfully in Nottingham, Bristol and Cardiff and plans to expand to a further four UK cities in the coming months. By the summer, Sn-ap predicts over 100,000 people will be on-demand intercity coach travellers.

The launch event for Sn-ap will take place at the Highcross Shopping Centre in St. Peter’s Square, Bath House Lane, Leicester LE1 4SA, from 11am until 7.30pm on Tuesday 8th May. Refreshments will be provided.
