Discover Music and More at the Belgrade Theatre this Spring

From the songs of the swinging sixties to An Evening with Eric and Ern, there’s lots to look forward to at the Belgrade Theatre this Spring with a wide range of music and comedy that’s guaranteed to suit all tastes.

On Tue 16 April, the ever-popular Sensational 60s Experience returns with another fabulous line-up of much-loved artists from pop music’s greatest era. Original voice of The Searchers Mike Pender heads up this unmissable night of nostalgia, starring alongside the likes of Chris Farlowe, Herman’s Hermits, The Swinging Blue Jeans, New Amen Corner and The Fourmost.

Walk Right Back keeps the 1960s spirit alive on Wed 17 April, with a stunning tribute to history’s most successful music duo. Relive hits like Bye Bye Love, All I Have to do is Dream and Cathy’s Clown as this thrillingly authentic show takes you through the story of the Everly Brothers, from their rise to fame, through their decade-long feud, to their eventual glorious reunion.

The week concludes with the return of Seven Drunken Nights on Thu 18 April. Following its sold-out debut tour, the smash-hit show returns to retell the story Ireland’s favourite sons, The Dubliners, in an evening packed with humour, craic and best-loved tunes including The Wild Rover, Molly Malone and Finnegan’s Wake.

The non-stop hits continue into the following month with Tina Turner tribute Elesha Paul Moses taking over the stage on Wed 1 May. Prepare to be blown away by powerhouse vocals from the star of The Voice and The X Factor in What’s Love Got To Do With It – a stunning celebration of one of the greatest female singers of our time.

On Thu 2 May, audiences aged from 8-80 can enjoy a look back at the work of one of comedy’s finest double-acts in An Evening of Eric and Ern. Crammed full of sketches, songs and of course, a special musical guest, this hilarious show captures the style and timing Morecambe and Wise to a tee, transporting you back to a time when the whole family huddled together around the telly on a Saturday night.

On Fri 3 May, Nativity! The Musical star Scott Garnham returns to the Belgrade to perform live in concert with The Barricade Boys. Featuring some of the UK’s finest male voices, this group of former Les Misérables stars bring the songs from the show to life in one unforgettable evening.

Wrapping up the week on Sat 4 May, local star and lifelong Aretha Franklin fan Letitia George delivers a heartfelt and uplifting dedication to the undisputed Queen of Soul in Respect to Aretha. Known nationally for her appearance on The Voice and locally for her regular BBC radio show, Letitia powers through Aretha’s incredible back catalogue with breathtaking skill.
