Live music from the 60s to the present day at the Belgrade this July

Audiences from across Coventry and Warwickshire are invited to experience a night of live music this July, as the Belgrade Theatre presents a line-up of fantastic tribute artists. Featuring the sounds of Simon and Garfunkel, Frankie Valli, Bob Marley, Elton John and ABBA, this July sees a celebration of music from the 60s to the present day.

The critically acclaimed show The Simon and Garfunkel Story takes to the stage on Mon 17 July. Direct from the West-End after enjoying a sold-out UK tour, era-defining American rock-folk duo Simon and Garfunkel are celebrated on stage in a special 50th anniversary performance. The show features original live footage and a full live band, and includes the hits: Mrs RobinsonCeciliaBridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound and many more.

The internationally acclaimed Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons show Bye Bye Baby returns to the Belgrade on Tues 18 July. Showcasing a hugely impressive archive of songs, Bye Bye Bye celebrates the band’s phenomenal career, which spans over half a century and is brimming with nostalgic anthems, including: Beggin’, Big Girls Don’t CryWalk Like A ManCan’t Take my Eyes off of You and Grease.

Coventry gets a taste of Jamaica with Legend – A Tribute to Bob Marley on Weds 19 July. With 33 years passing since his multi-platinum album Legend was released, Bob Marley remains the best-selling reggae artist of all time. This show transports you from Bob Marley’s ska roots to the pinnacle of his recording career, featuring million-selling hits in a two-hour treat including: Could You Be Loved, Is This Love?, One Love, No Woman, No Cry, Three Little Birds, Jamming, Buffalo Soldier and more.

Million Dollar Piano pays homage to Elton John on Thurs 20 July. Featuring the signature black Yamaha grand piano and trademark dazzling outfits, this tribute concert features professional musicians who pride themselves on authenticity and musical integrity. The concert offers audiences a chance to experience some of Elton John’s best-loved songs including: Tiny Dancer, Your Song, Circle of Life and many more.

70s pop sensations ABBA are celebrated in ABBA Mania on Fri 21 July. The tribute band from London’s West-End has enjoyed successful international sell-out tours and has played to over three million people. Dig out those platforms and dust down those flares for a night of ultimate party tunes, including Mamma Mia, Voulez Vous, Dancing Queen, Winner Takes It All, Super Trouper and many more.
