The beds are so comfortable that your forty winks may well turn into four hours but thankfully the cavernous power shower hits the spot, reinvigorating us in time for dinner and a night of exploring the city.
Dining at the Shangri-La is a truly world class event with the hotel’s Kad Kafé, named after the local word for market, offering a delicious international spread that includes Thai, Chinese, Japanese, European and Mediterranean specialities. We also experienced an authentic Szechuan dining experience at the hotel’s China Kitchen – we loved the duck cooked three ways with plenty of spice!
If r a night of fine dining and city exploring leaves you feeling a little jaded then the Shangri-La’s in house spa could be the perfect place to relax. Offering a range of treatments including a traditional Thai massage, guest can also make use of the hotel’s extensive gym before unwinding further in the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
