Birmingham Film Festival in association with Love Your Postcode is back

Birmingham Film Festival in association with Love Your Postcode is back for its third year 20th – 25th November 2018, bringing hundreds films, industry events and special guests to the city at the spectacular Millennium Point.

Opening night sees a special screening of David L.G. Hughes’s OF GODS AND WARRIORS starring Will Mellor (Three pints of Lager, Holly Oaks and No Offence) Paul Freeman (Raiders of the Lost Ark) and Murray McArthur (Games of Thrones). All three will be in attendance for a special Q&A following the screening.

200 films will be on show over the 6 day event including shorts, features, documentaries, animation and music videos. Works shops and seminars will also be on offer with the BFI Network, BBFC, WM Screen Bureau and Birmingham Producers Forum just some of the organisations hosting events. Support from Film Birmingham and WMCA has also helped the festival continue to grow and expand its reach, seeing over 800 submissions this year from 72 different countries.

This year’s selection will be celebrated as always at the exclusive Gala Awards Ceremony at Canal Side – The Cube, where the best films of the festival receive their awards. Steven Knight was the festival’s first patron back in 2016 and since then it has grown and continues to become the centre epic of the region’s film calendar. This is a great platform for local talent as well as the filmmakers from around the world who come to this glorious city to showcase their films, meet new friends and work colleagues but above all celebrate the amazing work on show!

To celebrate the partnership, Bobby Singh. Esq co-founder of award winning Birmingham estate agents® are giving away 100 VIP tickets (rrp £90) on a first come first serve basis.
