BULLRING & GRAND CENTRAL GETS READY TO REOPEN

On You Marks, Get, Set Go! Bullring & Grand Central will open to customers on Monday 12th April following confirmation from the Government that non-essential retail, hair and beauty services and selected outdoor dining will reopen so you can shop til you drop!

The centre will reopen fully to shoppers at 10am on Monday with all stores expected to open including Selfridges. Hair and beauty services from Barber Barber, Supercuts and Laser Clinics will also resume on this day.

A number of the centre’s restaurants and cafes will continue to offer takeaway with a selection including Chaophraya, Indian Streatery, Arket and Pizza Hut offering outdoor dining. Also opening for the first time is the Vietnamese independent restaurant, Vietnamese Street Kitchen, with seating available on their terrace overlooking St Martin’s Square. You can find out more by visiting www.bullring.co.uk.

As opening hours may vary for individual stores and restaurants, customers are being encouraged to check the Bullring & Grand Central website and social media channels for regular and up-to-date information. The centre’s Crowd Checker app – available via the website www.bullring.co.uk – provides live updates on footfall in real-time, so shoppers can plan their visit outside of peak times (12pm – 2pm).

Safety continues to remain Bullring & Grand Central’s number one priority, and the measures it introduced last year remain in place. These include:

  • One-way system to help customers safely navigate the centre
  • Face coverings are mandatory throughout the centre, unless you are exempt
  • Clear signage throughout the destination reminding consumers of the need to follow social distancing guidance, and to avoid shopping in large groups
  • Enhanced cleaning processes, with a clear focus on key customer touch points
  • Fixed hand sanitiser stations throughout the destination
  • Customers are encouraged to use contactless payment with retailers for transactions

Stephanie Lacey, General Manager at Bullring & Grand Central, commented: “We’re thrilled to be able to reopen the centre on 12th April and look forward to welcoming our customers back to Bullring & Grand Central. The safety measures we put in place last year will continue, including mandatory face coverings, hand sanitiser stations and enhanced cleaning processes.

“We’d like to say thanks to everyone who has kept essential stores and our food takeaway services open, along with keeping the centre clean while we’ve been in lockdown. We hope that next month, following the government roadmap, our restaurants and leisure facilities will be able to reopen fully too.”

As well as welcoming back shoppers, the centre will also welcome a handful of new restaurant operators to the line-up over the coming months. Haidilao, China’s largest hot pot restaurant chain, will open its new restaurant in St Martin’s Square later in the spring whilst preparations are underway at the new Wingstop UK restaurant on St Martin’s Walk. Treetop Adventure Golf will also open at the centre later in the spring.
