CARLUCCIO’S SOLIHULL REOPENS WITH A NEW LOOK & PIZZA MENU
On Tuesday 8th September, Carluccio’s will be reopening its Solihull restaurant for delivery, followed by dine-in on the 16th. As well as all your Italian favourites, there’s something totally new – Carluccio’s Solihull will be the first of the brand’s restaurants to offer a pizza bar where diners can discover artisan Neapolitan varieties, topped with the finest produce.
And to celebrate the launch of the new menu addition, on 8th September, a competition post will be uploaded on Carluccio’s Instagram where they will be giving away free pizzas to the 50 first people to comment. The pizzas will be available for click and collect from the 8thSeptember and to enjoy in the restaurant from the 16th.
Carluccio’s has been bringing genuine Italian flavours and produce to the UK for over twenty years, and it doesn’t get more authentic than the local favourite, Neapolitan pizza. Strongly adhering to Antonio Carluccio’s food philosophy, “MOF MOF” – Minimum of Fuss, Maximum of Flavour – the pizzas are packed with authentic flavours without being overly constructed.
With flour directly imported from the Campania region in Italy, the dough ferments for at least 24 hours to ensure a soft, plumped-up crust that’s synonymous with Naples, before being hand-stretched. The pizzas are then layered with Carluccio’s-own tomato sauce made by gently crushing San Marzano DOP tomatoes with extra virgin olive oil alongside a secret ingredient, before being expertly baked in an Esposito Forni artisan pizza oven, made from brick by Italian craftsmen.
Choose from a menu of six pizzas including classics like the Prosciutto di Parma with Fior di latte mozzarella, finished with 24 month-aged Parma ham, rocket and Parmigiano-Reggiano shavings; and modern interpretations such as the Bietole e Caprino, with beetroot pesto, Fior di latte mozzarella, goats cheese, olives and walnuts. Fans of Carluccio’s signature Penne Giardiniera are in luck – there’s a pizza version with courgettes sautéed with chilli and garlic, finished with a free-range egg, baby spinach, and Parmigiano Reggiano shavings. Gluten-free and vegan pizzas are also available.
A sweet pizza comes in the form of an indulgent Calzone alla Ricotta con Canditi with sweet ricotta, candied fruit, and chocolate, finished with crushed pistachio nuts and served with a warm chocolate and hazelnut pouring sauce.
Carluccio’s new pizzas are available for click and collect and for delivery via Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat as well as for in-dining.
As well as pizza, Carluccio’s Solihull will continue to serve all its classics from breakfast through to dinner, from antipasti to pasta, from salads to signatures like Chicken Milanese and Risotto Ai Funghi. The set menu offers exceptional value at £12.95 and £14.95 for two and three courses with gluten-free and vegan menus are available.
