To commemorate its 80th anniversary this year, Birmingham Airport will hold ‘Birmingham Airport Fest’ – a one day free festival in Sheldon Country Park on Sunday 1st September.
The family festival has something for all tastes, with a special performance from the Birmingham Royal Ballet, Jen & Derek from Milkshake and Aston Performing Arts Academy. There will be local arena entertainment, a silent disco, interactive circus skill demonstrations, food & drink vendors and local community stalls as well as Bob Wilsons funfair.
Other events to celebrate their milestone have included a staff party, becoming the headline sponsor of Solihull Summer Fest in Tudor Grange and a year-long Principal Partnership of Birmingham Royal Ballet to support its Dance Tracks and Freefall dance companies.
More acts and activities for the festival will be announced nearer the time along with the schedule of events.
