Cool Runnings: Hundreds of Santas and Elves Needed for Birmingham Charity Dash

Hundreds of Santas and Elves are needed for the most festive fundraising event of the year as Acorns Santa Run comes back to Birmingham this December!

The family-friendly fundraiser, which takes place at Millennium Point on Saturday 7 December, is being held to help Acorns Children’s hospice fund its vital care for babies, children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions.

The event will see hundreds of Santas and Elves descend on the popular city attraction getting themselves firmly on the nice list by raising money for Acorns.

New for 2019 is an interactive festive 2k trail which is fun for all the family, plus food music and FREE family days out included.

Rachel added: “Acorns Santa Run is not only heaps of fun, every penny raised will make a real difference to the children and families we support. It costs Acorns £27,000 every day to provide our vital services, so events like this are crucial for helping us fund our care.”

Acorns Children’s Hospice offers a network of specialist palliative care and support for babies, children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions, as well as support for their families.

In the past year Acorns has cared for over 780 children and more than 1,220 families, including those who are bereaved.

Tickets for Acorns Santa Run are priced £15 for adults (15+), £10 for little Santas (9-14 years) and little Elves (3-8 years). ‘Reindeer’ (dogs) are priced £5. Under 2s are free.

Tickets cover the cost of the event, but every pound raised in sponsorship goes directly to supporting local children and families. Tickets include free entry to a host of visitor attractions, including National Sea Life Birmingham and Thinktank.
