To kick off its 30th-anniversary celebrations, Simpsons restaurant in Edgbaston will be hosting a collaboration with MasterChef: The Professionals winner Stu Deeley on Wednesday 26th July.
The chef, who won the TV cooking contest in 2019, trained as a chef at Simpsons and is now winning plaudits as executive chef at Smoke At Hampton Manor. His restaurant is an intimate, relaxed space set in the Manor’s walled gardens, where Stu and his team cook over coals.
The Simpsons celebration will begin with drinks and snacks in the garden from 6.30pm followed by dinner inside the restaurant from 7.30pm.
The six-course tasting menu will be divided equally between Luke Tipping and Stu, with several elements cooked over coals to recreate the flavours at Smoke.
Luke says, “Stu is a fantastic chef and a good friend, what he has achieved these past years has been hugely impressive. The dinner will give our guests the opportunity to enjoy an array of stunning summer produce, with many cooked over coals to enhance their flavours and bring a BBQ feel to the event. Regardless of the weather it will be a really beautiful evening.”
Simpsons garden is renowned for being an oasis of calm, located just minutes from Birmingham’s centre and it is the perfect place for alfresco drinking and dining and of course – celebrating.
The Simpsons x Stu Deeley dinner will be the first of three collaborations, which will include an October tasting menu with Great British Menu winner Tom Shepherd and a special plant-based event with Land Restaurant on World Vegan Day. Long-standing Simpsons fans can also look forward to a Retro Lunch menu, featuring the most popular dishes from the past 30 years that will be launched in August and continued throughout September.
This very special dinner is priced at £125 for six courses, a deposit will be required. For more information and to book a place the Simpsons x Stu Deeley dinner, please email: [email protected].
