Entertainment galore as Selfridges Birmingham gears up for Christmas

Christmas is coming and Selfridges Birmingham is gearing up for the most exciting season of the year with a host of fun activities and events for families.

From its Fantasy Snowdome, storytime sessions to special breakfasts with Father Christmas, the premium department store is looking forward to building up to the big day.

Fantasy Snowdome 

12–4pm, 5 to 15 December and 21 December to Christmas Eve, Central Atrium on Level 1

This year there might just be a white Christmas after all, for at Selfridges Birmingham a blizzard is set to fall. We have a life-size snow globe that will bring the festive fun, come have a family photo – to send to everyone. Tickets are complimentary and can be booked here


Roaming Santa

30th – 31st November, 5th December – 24th December (Christmas Eve)

Father Christmas will be spreading Christmas cheer throughout the store, greeting customers and getting selfies with youngsters. He’ll be in the store from noon-5pm on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 31st November, Thursday 5th December, and then every Friday-Sunday until 22nd December. On Monday 23rd December, catch Santa from 9am-2pm and he’ll also be in store on Christmas Eve from 11am-4pm, before he has to dash off to carry out some important duties.

Storytime with Santa

12.30–1pm, 1.30pm–2pm and 2.30–3pm, every Sunday, 8 to 22 December 
Kids on Level 1

Once upon a time in a land not far away, a group of children gather round for story-time Sunday. They all sit down to listen and can’t believe their eyes, as Santa reads tales with a milk and cookie surprise. Tickets are £5 per child and can be booked here.

Breakfast with Santa

Weekends, 7th – 22nd December

It’s one of the store’s most popular events – book breakfast with Santa and your youngster will have the chance to tell the Big Man Himself exactly what they’d like for Christmas. Selfridges Birmingham will host the Breakfast with Santa at Fumo on Level 4 every Saturday and Sunday. Not only will your little ones get to enjoy a fantastic breakfast, they’ll also receive a gift after meeting Father Christmas. Breakfast with Santa costs £20 for children and £25 for adults. DJ and choirs

Saturday 30th November – Saturday 21st December
Various days, noon-6pm

Music is always a hit at Selfridges Birmingham and this Christmas will be no exception. This year, the store will welcome some of the best local DJs to entertain shoppers with a host of tunes – from iconic festive classics to club hits. Head to Menswear on Level 2, where DJs will be playing on 30th November and various dates throughout December (5th, 6th, 9th-15th, 21st). Live music comes from Aston Performing Arts, who will be performing popular festive songs every Sunday from 8th-22nd December, from noon-3pm, helping shoppers get into the Christmas spirit.
