The International Convention Centre, in the centre of Birmingham, was home to this years Francesco Group Awards where all 41 of the Francesco Group salons and academies gathered in anticipation for the announcement of this years Business and Photographic Award Winners.
The event began with a spectacular opening presentation from the Francesco Group Creative Team, showcasing looks from their forthcoming collection, Bohemian, prior to the Chairman Peter Dellicompagni and Director of Hairdressing, Anya Dellicompagni stepping onto the stage to thank the Creative Team, models, makeup artists and the rest of the team who put the presentation together.
Peter also thanked sponsors, Wella Professionals, Shortcuts, Avlon, GHD, Cloud9 and Aston and Fincher and spoke about Francesco Group embracing change and how next year they will be celebrating the company being in the business for 50 years.
After dinner, networking and chatting with colleagues and peers, it was time for the awards announcements! Company Director’s Craig Davies and Yogi Parmar, took to the stage in what was to be a nerve wracking wait for the finalists! First up it was the announcement of the Business Award winners, with Francesco Group Newport taking the big award – Salon of the Year.
Next up, Directors of Hairdressing Anya and Mia Dellicompagni took to the stage for the announcement of the Photographic Award winners. The much sought after Hair Trend of the Year was awarded to Victoria Taylor of Francesco Group Cheltenham, with the judges commenting on the look as “fantastic styling and a strong image.”
Francesco Group’s Director of Hairdressing, Anya Dellicompagni, commented, “Every single year the standard of work that gets presented for judging exceeds our expectations. We have an extremely talented and hard working team here at Francesco Group and everyone who won and entered, should be extremely proud of themselves and the work the fantastic work they have produced.”
