GET READY FOR LIFT OFF WITH KEMP’S VIRTUAL EASTER BALLOON RACE

The sky’s the limit this Easter when you join KEMP Hospice’s eco-friendly seven-day Virtual Balloon Race – where everything is real apart from the balloon! Lifting off on Sunday 4th April at noon from Jerusalem Old City, those who take part will be able to watch their virtual balloon race against others until Sunday 11th April at noon.

The seven-day computer simulation race will even reflect current live weather data to determine the progress of each balloon. Each entry can even be tracked on Google Maps and Satellites once launched!

Each virtual balloon is only £3, and you can completely personalise it by giving it a name and choosing its colour, shape, and pattern. You can even get technical and select different features of your balloon, such as weight, which will determine its flight performance to enhance your chances of winning!

Coralie Hudson, KEMP Fundraiser and Event Organiser said: “While we can’t be together in person, why not pit your balloon against family, friends, and colleagues and help raise much-needed funds to support local families most in need – and of course have lots of fun. You can also buy balloons as a gift for your friends and family, whilst doing your bit for local hospice care.”

There are some amazing prizes to be won too! First prize, for the balloon that travels the farthest, is £500 cash, second prize is an Apple iPad and there are also 10 lucky winners of £10 book tokens.

As a direct result of the coronavirus pandemic, KEMP have been unable to fundraise in the ways they usually do, with fundraising activities and in person events cancelled or postponed, and their shops remaining closed for the time being. Joining their virtual balloon race will ensure that the Wyre Forest Hospice’s fundraising efforts continue as well as offer some light-hearted entertainment to those that take part during this challenging time.

Developed by the Purepages Group, KEMP’s Virtual Easter Balloon Race offers a 100% eco-friendly way to support the Wyre Forest’s hospice, as it will have no negative environmental impact on all wildlife, climate change, plastic waste, or litter.
