Brand spanking new modern Chinese restaurant and specialist cocktail bar Lulu Wild will arrive this summer in Brindleyplace, with an eclectic mix of Chinese cuisine and sexy, cool cocktails that will have the Birmingham glitterati salivating in expectation.

Imagine a place that exemplifies the power of China with modern Oriental cuisine, with the European chic of cocktail culture.  For those who enjoy refinery and elegance, but sexy and glam, this will be the place to be and the place to be seen this summer.

The plan is to light up the dark skies of an evening in Birmingham, with great food and live DJs in a jaw droppingly beautiful venue.

An old Chinese proverb fortells to preserve the old, but know the new. Lulu Wild promises to embody the refinery and elegance of modern Chinese culture with the adventurous spirit of Birmingham.

The team behind Siamais and Aluna have taken over the old Carluccio’s site and transformed the 5000 square venue into an impressively stylish two storey delight. With more opportunities for adventure as their instagrammable venue will be a feast for the eyes and well as the senses.  For the first time, they are really able to make use of a new venue and really make the best use of the space to  bring their own vision to life.

Lulu Wild is designed to be snap-tastic and they have created two vibes in the same venue, ensuring that whatever you want from your night out in Birmingham, Lulu Wild has you covered.  There will be capacity for 160 people downstairs and 80 upstairs.

Downstairs will have natural light flooding in, with a fresh and open feel to the place, with a neighbouring outside dining space dripping in fairy lights for Al Fresco dining.

As you venture upstairs, the lighting dips and deepens as you enter into a Bar and Lounge area for a night-time neon feel, straight out of the downtown streets of China.

Taking inspiration from both ancient Chinese style and contemporary cuisine, the Executive Chef has been busy perfecting an exemplary menu bursting with Cantonese Flavours.

Signature dishes on the menu will include Black truffle roast duck with shimeji and Roast free-range chicken in satay sauce

The black truffle will bring a subtle yet succulent touch to the roasted duck; and the chicken in satay sauce is set to be a customer’s favourite due to it’s already renowned popularity.

MD Nishil Nathwani said, “The cocktails will be full-on theatrics, enough to envy Lulu’s big sister, Aluna, with twists on traditional cocktails with a Chinese influence, such as the Ginger Mojito. We’re really quality driven and use premium products in our all creations. Our mixologists have created an extensive list of cocktails including the classics and bespoke creations – with many offering an interactive experience for the guests.”

Not only will Lulu Wild serve up visionary and delectable cocktails paired with modern Chinese cuisine, the alluring venue will be filled with the right songs to be the best soundtrack to your social life. There are also plans for pumping R’n’B bottomless brunches at the weekend.

The team behind Aluna and Siamais; have really made their mark on the city with their brands, riding out the restrictions of lockdown to invest in a third Birmingham cocktail venue.

Their unique offering and attention to detail has hit the right spot for customers and many other venues have tried to a follow suit. It’s great to see an independent company thrive and invest into the sector.

Marketing Manager Naomi Aly said, “Lulu Wild has been a long-anticipated addition to our family, combining our signature style of visionary mixologists and artistic cuisine. Since our story began in 2015, with the opening of Aluna, our hospitality group has always had the ambition to grow. Since then, we’ve added Siamais, Aluna in Bristol and now we are excited to welcome Lulu Wild. I can just feel the excitement from our regular customers who I know are going to love Lulu!”

By remaining an independent company, it allows them the creative freedom to challenge the status quo as well as remaining focused on the individual customer experience so unique to Birmingham clientele. So get ready Birmingham, for the buzz to come to Brindleyplace.
