Birmingham Music Awards has launched their inaugural annual ceremony. Designed to exclusively celebrate music achievement as a vehicle to bring together the best of Birmingham’s contributors to music.
BMA Co-Founder Jo Jeffries said: “There are so many reasons to be excited about being a musician in Birmingham right now; the whole creative landscape is changing, the urban scene is exploding, key music education providers such as BIMM and ACM have moved in.”
“We want to add to the momentum and recognise the achievements and talents of so many. We want to retain our talent in our city, so we are here to support our talent and shout about our talent.”
Birmingham Music Awards is calling for musicians and contributors to the Birmingham Music Scene to put their best work forward. Entrants can submit their work for several different categories including Best Song, Best Male, Best Female, Best Band, Best Live Venue, Best Urban Act, Best Newcomer, Best Radio Station, Best DJ.
Judging will be carried out by a panel of music industry professionals, all with an impressive track record in the business.
Shortlisted entries will be announced on Friday 30th March 2018. Entries are open now via www.birminghamusicawards.com
