It’s all treats and no tricks this Halloween at Selfridges Birmingham

Be afraid … be very afraid – Selfridges Birmingham is gearing up for the spookiest night of the year, with a host of events that will get all the family in the mood for Halloween.

The premium Bullring department store will be hosting a petrifying pumpkin hunt for youngsters between October 27 and 31, when little ones can enjoy a Halloween activity across kidswear, finding hidden pumpkins. Anyone completing the hunt will be rewarded with a sweet treat. Youngsters heading into store on those dates in fancy dress will also receive a complimentary mini Lola’s cupcake.

Face painters will also be in store on Monday, October 29, and Tuesday, October 30 and Wednesday 31  between 11am and 3pm, transforming your little angels into little devils. Complimentary, kidswear on 1.

If you’ve got it, haunt it: for the grown-ups, some of the leading make-up brands in Selfridges’ renowned beauty hall on Level 3 will providing tips on how to vamp up the make-up look for October 31.

Make-up artists will offer the best insider ‘tricks’ with the latest products, as well as share their top tips for creating wearable, beautiful looks this Halloween.

On Saturday, October 27 2-6pm, Nars loves can book an express eye makeover with its make-up artists and in just 30 minutes, learn how to apply stunning brows, shadow, liner and mascara.  Pre-book on www.selfridges.com.

Huda Bwill be doing demonstrations on Saturday the 27th  on its counter. Create the perfect dramatic eye for Halloween with its Obsessions eyeshadow palette (£25)

Lancôme will be showing customers how to perfect a ghouls and ghosts look using key products such as its Ombre Hypnose eyeshadow shimmer (£21) from the 26th-28th.

Charlotte Tilbury make-up artists will be demonstrating its Halloween vamp-up, offering tips on how to use its colour-coded eyeshadow palette (£39) to devastating effect

Yves Saint Laurent’s spooktacular Halloween event will see the Rebel Squad   create killer looks with products such as its deep and delicious Rouge pur couture lipstick 81 (£28) from the 26th-28th.

Armani is hosting a Halloween take over, where customers can learn how to perfect the perfect ghoulish eye with its  Eyes to Kill stellar eyeshadow (£30) from the 26th-28th.

Bobbi Brown is hosting a VIP customer event to celebrate Halloween . The Bobbi Brown Metallic palette (£19.50) will add drama to any Halloween look.

Tom Ford offer Spooky  Extreme looks with from their Extreme collection on Saturday 27th.

Complete the dramatic make-up with some key Halloween pieces, such as The Kooples Ghost cropped wool-cashmere blend jumper (£188) and Happy Monster cotton-jersey t-shirt (£93) are perfectly on-trend for the season, while Wildfox’s Witches distressed cotton-jersey sweatshirt (£90).
