John Lewis Birmingham celebrates Easter with Egg-citing family events

John Lewis reveals Easter celebrations are set to be bigger than ever as the nation embraces the annual spring holiday with bespoke eggs, DIY tea parties adorned with decorative eggs and bunting, and cracking Easter bunny hunts. To get set for an Easter egg-stravaganza, the Birmingham store has launched a Bunny Bunting workshop and Easter Bunny hunts for kids and adults alike.

Just like its Christmas counterpart, Easter has become a holiday associated with themed parties, seasonal gifting, family fun and a little chocolate indulgence. This year’s extensive egg offering includes the unique and the luxurious; from the Edinburgh Gin’s Easter egg; to Charbonnel et Walker milk chocolate egg with sea salt truffles; and the Artisan du Chocolat extravagant chocolate sculpture.

As well as filling its seasonal department with spectacular Easter-themed products, John Lewis Birmingham will host a series of fun and creative events for all the family. On Saturday 24 March families can enjoy live music, food and drink tastings, an indoor games area, an Egg-ceptional Easter Bunny Hunt and a Bunny Bunting crafting workshop. The Bunny Hunt will also run over Easter weekend.

Lisa Williams, Head of Branch at John Lewis Birmingham, said: “At John Lewis Birmingham we love to celebrate special occasions with our customers and have some fun in store. With more and more Brits choosing to celebrate Easter in style, we have everything you need to make Easter extra special with special events, seasonal decorations to transform your home into a spring wonderland and an unparalleled collection of Easter eggs and gifts.”

Lisa Rutherford, Seasonal Buyer at John Lewis, said: “John Lewis saw a much higher demand for Easter Decorations last year. For 2018, our assortment supports this growth in popularity and we’ve introduced a greater selection of tree hanging decorations and tabletop accessories. Easter is a relatively inexpensive way to celebrate a special time of year and events focused on children and family always capture people’s imagination and decorating is part of that.”

To take part in any of the Easter activities, simply pop along to John Lewis Birmingham on Saturday 24 March and pick up a leaflet from any till point in branch.

Customers can also take part in the Easter Bunny Hunt during opening hours on Easter Weekend.
