Lulu Celebrates 75th Birthday With UK Tour Including Birmingham

National treasure, Lulu, has announced a 5-date UK tour for next year to celebrate her 75th birthday, including a stop in Birmingham.

The tour will kick off in her hometown of Glasgow and later visit Manchester, Southampton, Birmingham and end at The London Palladium.

On 17 April 1964, a 15-year-old Lulu stormed into the UK charts with her iconic, ‘Shout’, a song that would turn the wee girl from Glasgow into a cherished national treasure.

Now, exactly 60 years since she released ‘Shout’, this pioneer of popular culture prepares to celebrate her 75th birthday year with fans on her ‘Champagne For Lulu’ Tour ending at the London Palladium on Wednesday 17 April 2024.

“75 – I can’t believe it!” smiles Lulu, “and 60 years in the business! What an amazing journey it’s been, so many memories – wow. That’s why I’m going to make sure that my upcoming shows are a momentous celebration.

“And I promise to whip up one hell of a party, all the hits, my personal stories from behind the scenes, and of course I’ll be inviting some special guests onto the stage with me. Join me, it’s gonna be the party of a lifetime.”

Lulu will perform at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on 15 April 2024. Tickets are on sale from 10am on 10 November.
