New Venue Announced For Luxurious Birmingham ‘Ladies Lunch’

Caudwell Children, the national charity that provides practical and emotional support to disabled children and their families, has announced a new venue for it its annual Birmingham ‘Ladies Lunch’.

The charity, which also holds the prestigious Butterfly Ball, in London each year, will bring its unique brand of luxury to the renowned Belfry Hotel and Spa, Lichfield Road, Sutton Coldfield, B76 9PR on Friday 5th April, 2019.

The ‘Ladies Lunch’ is an exclusive afternoon of fashion, food, beauty and entertainment where guests enjoy champagne whilst browsing stalls featuring local and national retailers of luxury goods; including handbags, independent clothing and beauty products.

Tickets also include a two course gourmet lunch, luxury goody bag and top class entertainment. As Sarah Freeth, Challenge and Events Manager at Caudwell Children, explained: “This will be our third Ladies Lunch in Birmingham and we’re delighted to be holding it at the stunning Belfry Hotel and Spa.

“The Belfry is synonymous with golf and has hosted more Ryder Cup tournaments than any other golf course in the world.

“The venue is set amidst acres of lush North Warwickshire countryside and even though it’s located just outside Birmingham, it’s extremely accessible.”

Previous Birmingham Ladies Lunches have provided fantastic entertainment for guests including performances from stars from the worlds of television, theatre and music.

Scott Wright, the actor, singer and musician, who starred in ITV’s Coronation Street for three years, as stripper Sam Kingston, hosted Birmingham’s inaugural Caudwell Children Ladies Lunch, in 2017, whilst last year’s event was hosted by a very familiar face.

“Darius Campbell-Danesh, the multi-talented singer, songwriter, musician, actor and film producer, hosted and performed at last year’s event,” said Sarah. “Darius rose to fame in 2001 after appearing on the British talent competition Popstars, before he was voted into the finals of the TV talent show, Pop Idol.

“His first UK single, Colourblind, entered the UK singles chart at number 1 whilst his debut album, Dive In, charted at number 6. He went on to have five UK Top Ten singles and a second gold album.”

Sarah says that the ‘Ladies Lunch’ offers a unique shopping and networking experience whilst raising vital funds for disabled children. She said: “Although it’s a high class afternoon the event is always delivered in a wonderfully relaxed manner by our host, which makes for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

“Amid the shopping, dining and entertainment there will be plenty of laughs. We’ll be announcing the names of our celebrity host and headline performer shortly, but with limited availability I would advise interested parties to buy their tickets now to avoid disappointment.”

The ‘Ladies Lunch’ will also involve a raffle, auction and silent auction, and with the opulent nature of the event there will be some ‘must-have’ goodies up for grabs.

Since 2000 Caudwell Children has helped over 30,000 children with services worth £37 million. The charity is unique in that a single major benefactor covers all the administration and management costs so that 100% of ticket sales, and donations, go direct to the children the charity supports.

“Small actions can have a big impact for the children that we work with,” said Sarah. “By simply buying a ticket for the ‘Ladies Lunch’, from as little as £60, you could help us to supply a state of the art wheelchair to a child, helping them to improve their mobility.”

Standard tickets are £60 per person or £550 per table of 10. This includes a glass of Champagne on arrival, a two course lunch and a goody bag.

VIP tickets are £85 per person or £800 per table of 10. This includes a glass of Champagne on arrival, a two course lunch, an allocation of Champagne, wine and water with lunch, premium seating and a goody bag.
