New Dining Concept, The Restaurant Hub arrives in Selly Oak

Foodies of Selly Oak, rejoice!  The Restaurant Hub, a brand-new dining destination featuring five of the high street’s most popular restaurant brands, is opening in the Sainsbury’s Superstore on Selly Oak Boulevard on 28 July.

With an expansive communal dining area seating 180 – alongside full grab-and-go and delivery options – The Restaurant Hub will feature five of some of the high street’s favourite restaurants, ensuring there’s something for everyone: gourmet burgers at GBK, chicken wings & tenders from Slim Chickens, fish and chips from Harry Ramsden’s, breakfast & hot dogs from Ed’s Easy Diner and coffees, pastries and sandwiches from Caffe Carluccio’s.

Offering a unique and different dining experience where compromise is firmly off the menu, The Restaurant Hub allows diners to mix and match dishes from any of the five participating restaurants – whether you’re dining in, taking-away or ordering for home delivery (via Deliveroo, Just Eat or Uber Eats). Perfect for groups and families with different tastes, you can grab a burger while your friend or sibling tucks into tenders.

Following the opening of its first site in St Albans earlier this month, Caffè Carluccio’s – a brand-new offering from everyone’s favourite Italian restaurant group – will feature signature, real Italian coffee made fresh to order, alongside house made Ciccolato hot chocolate, iced coffees, Cremosa blended drinks and refreshing granita fruit ices. Shoppers can also grab fresh Italian pastries, cakes and canoli on the go, and all-day breakfast and light lunch bites such as Italian Bacon Ciabatta Rolls, and mozzarella, taleggio and provolone cheese toasties. A range of Carluccio’s retail products will also be available including biscuits such as biscotti and cantucci, ground coffee and gianduiotti chocolates.

Head to GBK for burgers made with hand-selected cuts of chunk, brisket, short rib and 30-day dry-aged 100% British beef, alongside a range of vegetarian and vegan options. For a stateside diner experience, it’s got to be Ed’s Easy Diner, where breakfast classics such as American Pancakes await.

At Slim Chickens, unsurprisingly, it’s all about the chicken with hand-breaded buttermilk tenders, fresh buffalo wings and plant-based chick’s available to order with a choice of 15 different dipping sauces, from the smooth and creamy Ranch to the hot and fiery Inferno.

For world-famous Fish & Chips, make a stop at Harry Ramsden’s, where sustainably sourced fish is encased in Harry’s top-secret batter mix and fried to perfection, before being partnered with light and fluffy chips cut from the finest British potatoes.

Satnam Leihal, Managing Director of Boparan Restaurant Group, said: “We are so delighted to be working with our partner Sainsbury’s on The Restaurant Hub in Selly Oak. It’s very special to be able to bring five brands together in one place, offering diners genuine choice and the ability to mix and match a meal of all their favourite dishes.  It’s an exciting time for us and we look forwarding to welcoming diners and shoppers to The Restaurant Hub.”
