An online gallery and art agency has launched its website to sell the work of up-and-coming contemporary artists, focusing on promoting artists based in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Birmingham’s vibrant arts sector and affordable studios have attracted many emerging artists and graduates, making it one of the most exciting cities for art in the UK. Yet artists living there still struggle to find local commercial outlets in which to sell their work, and WIN WIN aims to bridge this gap.
The seven artists in WIN WIN’s opening showcase draw on a variety of media to create politically and socially engaged work. Their work has previously appeared at international arts platforms and institutions.
The gallery is also planning to support artists by strengthening their artistic profiles, and grow their online presence. Artists receive 70% of the sale price, as opposed to the 50% industry standard. Prices start at £80 and go up to £5000.
