Rev It Up at The Engine Room

One of Birmingham’s newest multi-purpose private hire spaces is celebrating summer in style, having held its first wedding of the season.

The Engine Room, which is a highly versatile space in the heart of Birmingham’s creative quarter, Digbeth, has been open for a few months, and already has a host of events under its belt.

The wedding was the first since the venue opened its doors just a few months ago, however there has also been birthday celebrations, art and photography exhibitions, along with a host of themed nights, for partygoers looking for something a little different.

Karl Hodgetts, director of The Engine Room, said: “We have such an incredible space which can be transformed, and people are just drawn to it once they see it. It’s a cool and chic industrial venue which fits in perfectly with Digbeth’s urban profile – and that’s a great selling point. “The area really has pulled itself up over the last few years, and is a destination of choice for people wanting something with a little more edge and a little less commercial. So to host a wedding was an absolute dream as not everyone wants a hotel for the reception, and this just was a
personalised twist for the couple and their guests to enjoy,” he added.

The space can hold up to 190 people, and there is a bar, sound system, DJ booth along with the choice of street food traders, projectors and other facilities upon request.
